Damaged Home Complaints from our website
On April 17th many members had thousands of dollars worth of damage to their homes and no one is willing to help us. It is really a shame that we as long time members can't get any help from HILCO.
When Oncor's line fell on HILCO's line sending an over voltage of electricity to our homes we had no warning or any way to protect our homes. I understand that HILCO was also taken off guard but isn't that what their insurance is for? Isn't it HILCO's responsibility to their members to send the correct amount of voltage to their homes? I bet HILCO will be going after Oncor for the replacement of all the meters they lost. What about all the members property? Shouldn't they help us as members to recover our damages?
I personally had thousands of dollars worth of damage to my home and I can't afford all the repairs, nor can my neighbors afford theirs. This is not a neighborhood of rich people. We are all middle to low income people just trying to get by and this has hit us hard. It really seems crazy to have to get an attorney to get the attention of the board the we as members pay the salaries of!
